Seeing Stars

Ok, so the blog started on Ceri's official due-date and this is my third post, so....yup....that makes 3...count them...3 days overdue!!  The excitement is killing us!!

Now I know, as you do, that Ceri is normally a very organised person, so I am surprised that the baby could possibly dream of coming late.  By now I was expecting it to be out, named, laminated and displayed gleaming on a neatly-backed notice board in true Primary Teacher style!

But the thing is.....and this is the only reason that you are reading I am sure...there is still no news.  No News!!! (I can see you all logging off now- traitors!!!)

I asked Ceri last night when she thought the lazy little monkey would make an appearance and she said, quite confidently:
"Oh!, it won't be 'til Saturday now!"
"Why not?"
"Coz, if it's born on Saturday, then it'll be a Gemini!"

So there we have it.

Further discussion reveals that Ceri is a Gemini, Ceri's mum is a Gemini, my sister is a Gemini and my great grandmother was a Gemini - so it seems this little nipper has to be a Gemini too.  If it were born before Saturday, it would be a Taurus - and that would be bad.  If it is born from Saturday onwards, as if by magic, it suddenly becomes a Gemini - and that would be good.

After all this waiting I uncover that a Gemini conspiracy was afoot all along!!!

You won't be surprised to hear that, as a bloke, I know absolutely nothing about star signs.  I only know them as the things that get in the way of pictures of Pippa Middleton in Hello magazine.  So, in my quest to find out more about why the baby needs to be born on Saturday, I consulted the hallowed turf that is the "Universal Pyschic Guild's Tarot Website" to see what our good friend Athena Starwoman (I kid you not!!) has to say about Taureans and, er, Geminians (is that right??)

Seems that Athena thinks that the key traits of being a Taurus are (and I quote verbatim),  being "snobby, withdrawn, boring, or even sulky" (sorry any Taureans reading).

On Geminis, Athena says that they are "Terminally curious and sometimes even mischievous, Geminis are multi-faceted souls who enjoy knowing a little bit of everything but generally not too much about one particular subject.".

So, dear reader, there we have our choice.  Should we get Ceri to cross her legs for two more days and ensure that the new arrival is nosey with the inability to concentrate on what it is doing, or bring it on now and have a sulky little shit?  Posts welcome...

PS - I am Saggitarius and Athena says that they are "cool!!!"

PPS  - I made that last bit up!

Until tomorrow then....

  1. Lol, I can second the thing about Taureans. I'm a 'moody cow' most times and my beloved husband will vouch for me. On the other hand we are also very spiritual and loving people. So Ceri, get it out in time to be a Taurean. I've been running a campaign for baby Shep to be a Taurean. However, I love the fact he/she is driving the parents world upside down. Just a brief introduction to the fact that order as you know it is gone, welcome to Chaos Land!
